“The training of specialists in the field of clinical trials is becoming increasingly important” – Interview of Dr Cristina Florescu Moraid in MedicHub.
The field of clinical trials opens doors to specific professions that are not yet taught in the Romanian faculties of Medicine and Pharmacy or with postgraduate courses. Dr Cristina Florescu Moraid explains how AVANTYO Institute of Clinical Research fills this gap and also talks about the 2020 edition of the Annual Symposium of Clinical Studies, the only national event with international participation in this industry.
AVANTYO was born from the need to offer the possibility to access in one place all types of continuing medical education programs in this field to all the types of clinical trials specialists from experienced professionals and newcomers to aspirants to work in clinical research.
The article shows not only the philosophy of the company but also mentions the main activities, from courses, roundtables to the next edition of the Annual Clinical Trials Symposium that will be held online on the 20th of November 2020, held in-person or online.
In its first year of activity, AVANTYO succeeded to organize events and training sessions adapted to the immediate need of the community. The company has organized one symposium and another edition to come, four roundtables; two editions of GCP Refresh training for over 300 participants, a program for monitors (CRA) with 50 attendees.
Consolidating the partnerships with specific organizations such as EUCROF, ACCSCR, EFGCP, was also a task to complete for this year, as well as participating in several international conferences as an organizer or with as Dr Florescu Moraid as a speaker.
